Imagine waking up each morning without knowing where your next meal will come from?

For many Syrians, this is their reality. Your support can help change that. By donating to the Bread Factory Appeal, you are not only providing bread to those in need, but also a glimmer of hope and a sense of security in an otherwise uncertain world.

In the camps of Syria, bread is not a side item. It is survival. For many widows, orphans, and displaced families, a warm loaf can be the only guaranteed meal of the day. It gives strength to a mother with little to offer, and dignity to a family trying to endure another hard day. When bread is missing, hunger becomes immediate.

On April 26th, 2026, S.I.OPTICALS (Shabir, Irshad, and Mahomed-Riaz Ibrahim) are taking on an ULTRA-MARATHON the ultimate challenge: Running ( Riaz & Irshad) and Cycling (SHABIR) 50km around Leicester in partnership with REVIVE, a local charity dedicated to providing sustainable aid to those in need. We are aiming to raise £50000 (£1000 for every km) and facilitate the addition of a bread factory and furthermore keep this essential project running, covering flour, fuel, staff wages, and daily distribution across the camps.

Revive’s Bread Factory INITIATIVE is a lifeline, providing over 4,000 fresh loaves every single day.

This is not a one-off effort. Revive currently has 9 bread factories operating across various cities in Syria, delivering consistent support where needs are greatest. This particular factory will also support livelihoods, generating employment for 10+ people, helping families earn a living while serving their own community. Bread matters because it reaches everyone. It is simple, nourishing, and shared. One loaf can feed more than one person, and one day of support can reach entire families. By keeping the ovens running, you are feeding people today and supporting a sustainable solution that strengthens local provision.

Join S.I.OPTICALS and Revive for this ULTRA-MARATHON CHALLENGE! An ULTRA-MARATHON is a super long distance running event — anything longer than a standard marathon (42.2 km / 26.2 miles) 😲. You’re basically pushing your body to the limit, Think endurance + mental toughness 💪. It takes months of both physical and mental training and is defiantly not for the faint- hearted.
